Here we take a deeper look into Prodrate and what, how and why it is used.
Prodrate is a low carb, electrolyte drink, which improves and assists in hydrating the body. Studies have shown the electrolytes within sweat and need to be replaced are sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium. Prodrate replaces all four of these essential electrolytes, as well as Phosphate and Chloride to ensure rapid absorption of fluid from the gastrointestinal tract to improve hydration and enhance muscle performance while preventing cramps and assisting in muscle function.
Prodrate is a low sugar, fructose free formulation, which allows athletes to hydrate without adding additional unnecessary calories. When used during exercises it optimises fat oxidation and can allow an athlete to separate their hydration and fuelling.
So when can Prodrate be used? Prodrate is a very flexible product and can be used in multiple ways. These include:
-in the days leading up to or just before an event or training session
-during training or events which are less than 2 hours in duration and carbohydrates are not necessary
-after training or racing when carbohydrates are not required

So what is the best way to mix Prodrate?
Here are 3 ways in which Prodrate can be mixed depending on the temperature and intensity of your exercise (this can be found on the Prodrate product page and the side of each tub of Prodrate)
- Cool/Easy: Mix 1 level scoops into 750-1000ml of water and shake until completely dissolved. Drink one bottle during every hour of exercise
- Warm/Normal: Mix 2 level scoops into 750-1000l of water and shake until completely dissolved. Drink one bottle during every hour of exercise
- Hot/Hard: Mix 3 level scoops into 750-1000ml of water and shake until completely dissolved. Drink one bottle during every hour of exercise
Please note you can alter how many scoops you use or the amount of water depending on taste also. Each tub contains 30 serves when mixed at 2 level scoops.
